Enrollment policies
Everything below is written to be fair to a working adult with a real schedule. If something ever isn't working, tell us before you cancel — most concerns are solved with a change, not a refund.
Enrollment & billing
Tuition is billed monthly, in advance, on your enrollment date. Your sessions for that month are credited to your account the same day.
Session credits
Your session credits remain valid for as long as your enrollment is active. They do not expire while you are enrolled. Credits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another student.
Rescheduling & flex changes
- 12+ hours notice: reschedule free, as often as you need. The session returns to your account in full.
- Under 12 hours: you have 4 flex changes per term, no questions asked, for the unexpected days that come with a real job.
- Beyond your flex changes, a session cancelled inside 12 hours or missed without notice is counted as delivered.
Pausing
You may pause your enrollment for up to 8 weeks per calendar year. Billing stops during a pause, and your unused credits are held for you. Pauses require 7 days notice and are requested through your instructor or through ALC directly.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time before your next billing date. Your enrollment stays active through the end of the month you've already paid for, and any credits in your account remain available for 60 days after cancellation.
Refunds
Tuition already billed is not refunded. Cancellation stops future billing, and you keep full access to everything already paid for — including any banked sessions — for 60 days.
If something isn't working, tell us before you cancel. Instructor rematches are free and unlimited, and most concerns are solved with a different match rather than a refund.
The Assessment & Plan Session
Enrollment begins with a single $100 Assessment & Plan Session, priced and sold on its own. It is credited in full toward your first month's tuition when you enroll. Because enrollment hasn't started yet, there's no tuition at risk — your exposure is capped at that one session.
