You have tried this before.

An app with a streak you abandoned. A few years of school Spanish. A phrasebook from a trip.

None of it got you to the moment that matters: someone speaks Spanish to you, and you answer. First Conversation is built for that moment.

How the sixteen classes are built

Week one. What to say when you are lost.

Before anything else, you learn the phrases that keep you in a conversation. Most programs never teach these, and not having them is why beginners switch back to English.

¿Cómo?Sorry, what? You did not catch it.
Más despacio, por favor.Slower, please. It went by too fast.
Otra vez, por favor.Once more, please. You almost had it.
¿Qué significa…?What does … mean?One word stopped you.

Every class. Hear it, say it, remember it.

Your instructor models everything first. You repeat it as a group, then on your own, then with a partner in a short dialogue. And every class you say it out loud from memory, because recall is what makes it stay.

Session five, November 17. Your first real one.

Sixty seconds, unscripted, no English. Two weeks in.

The final week. Hear the difference.

You record the same short conversation in week one and in the final week. Then you listen to both.

What you get

  • Sixteen live online classes. Small group, everything modeled before you are asked to say it.
  • Two recordings of the same conversation. One in week one, one in the final week, so your progress is something you can hear.
  • Weekly practice. Short, out loud, built from that week's classes.
  • Your textbook, included. Bregstein, Complete Spanish Step-by-Step.
  • A path into Speaking Up. When you finish, the next level is already there.

Your first conversation, or the next session is free.

Attend 13 of the 16 classes and do the weekly practice. If you cannot hold a two-minute conversation in Spanish by the final class, you take the next session at no cost.
