Then it is your turn, and it comes out slower, simpler, and less like you.
That gap is wide. A student just past intermediate and a student close to native ease share very little. Put them in one room and one is bored while the other is lost.
How it works
- Talk with an instructor for 15 minutes. Live. You speak, we listen. We find your real level and what you want Spanish to do for you.
- Get matched. After your assessment, you are placed in one of three advanced groups using ACTFL proficiency guidelines. Groups have 3 to 6 students at your level, with overlapping availability.
- Start when your group forms. Your instructor and class times are set when the group forms.
Not the right fit? We move you.
If your group stops fitting, we re-pair you. You can switch at any point in the cohort, at no cost.
What you will work on
Complex grammar, including the subjunctive. Idiomatic expressions. Professional and cultural discussion. Every class is a conversation, not a lecture.

Tuition
Classes meet twice a week and are sold in packages. Ongoing, for as long as your group meets. No semester, no set end date. You pay nothing until you are matched.

Groups are curated, so seats are planned before your first class. Cancel at least 7 days before your first class for a full refund. After that, up to your second class, you get a 50% refund.

What happens in the assessment?
A 15-minute conversation with an instructor. No test, no prep. We listen to how you speak and ask what you want from Spanish.
How is this different from Full Speed?
Full Speed is for professionals who understand more than they can say. Sound Like You picks up where that ends, working on precision, range and ease.
Why can I understand Spanish but not speak it?
Understanding and speaking are different skills. Listening can grow for years without speaking getting any practice. Speaking improves with regular conversation in a group that matches your level, which is what this class is built around.
When does my group start?
When 3 matched students are ready. You get your date after your assessment.
How is my schedule set?
From the availability you give us. We assign your instructor and confirm class times when your group forms.
What if no group fits my level?
You are not charged, or you get your money back if you have already paid.
Can I switch groups?
Yes, any time during the cohort.
Can I get a refund?
